Our story

I built Seatella for my daughter’s quinceañera.

Hi, I’m Alian. When my daughter Alissa turned fifteen, 188 of the people we love most came to celebrate with her. This is how one question from my wife became the app those guests used to find their seats.

How it started

It started with a question

My wife, Melissa, planned our daughter’s quince down to the smallest detail: the dress, the LED wall, the tables, every flower. I was the support team. I designed the graphics, the video and the dance floor, and I loaded everything onto the truck and back.

A few weeks before the party, Melissa asked me something I couldn’t stop thinking about: “Babe, I want a QR code for our guests to find their seats… can you do that?”

A printed seating chart meant a crowd at the entrance. We wanted something more visual, even a little animated, where every guest could simply scan and go!

The idea

So I built it

We drew the hall, imported our guest list and seated everyone, family by family. Then we printed one sign with one QR code.

Guests scan it, type their name, and their table lights up on a map of the room, with the path from the entrance. No app, no account, nothing to explain.

  • Families stay together at the same table
  • A map of the room with the path to each table
  • Changes up to the last minute, without reprinting

The big night

The night at The White Orchid

We didn’t put anyone at the door. Just the sign. Guests walked in, scanned it, and found their own tables, while we got to enjoy our daughter’s night.

What came next

From one quince to every celebration

After the party I realized every family planning a quince, a wedding or a birthday faces the same question Melissa asked me. So our family project became Seatella.

It still carries Melissa’s eye for detail: designs that match your event, signs worth framing, and a guest page in six languages. And it’s built for venues too, so every celebration in their halls can start the same way.

A note from our family

“If you’re planning a celebration right now, I know how many little details are on your mind. I hope Seatella takes one of them off your list, so you can enjoy the night the way we enjoyed Alissa’s.”
