Privacy Policy

Organizers: venues, planners and hosts who create a Seatella account to build seating charts.

Guests: people who open an event’s guest page (usually by scanning a QR code) to find their table. Guests never create an account.

Visitors: people who browse our website or join our early-access list.

Account information: your name, email, phone (optional), company, password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see it) and your branding choices such as logo and colors.

Event information you add: event details, venues, floor plans, and your guest list (guest names, groups or families, table assignments and any notes you choose to add).

Guest page activity: when a guest searches, we use the name they type only to show matching results. We count the number of lookups per event; we don’t store what guests type or build profiles of guests.

Early-access signups: the name, email, role and event volume you submit.

Technical information: basic logs our hosting providers keep for security and reliability (such as IP address and browser type). We use essential cookies only to keep organizers signed in. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

To provide the service: show guests their table, save and sync your events, generate QR codes and signs.

To run your account: sign-in, password resets, billing and customer support.

To contact early-access signups about Seatella availability and pricing. You can unsubscribe at any time.

To keep Seatella secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product using aggregated, non-identifying usage information.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use guest lists for marketing.

When you upload a guest list, you decide what goes into it and we process it on your behalf to run your event. Please only add information you are allowed to share, and keep it to what guests need to find their seat.

Guest pages are hidden from search engines. Guests only see names that match what they type, and you control whether guests can see who they’re seated with.

You can edit or delete guests, or delete an entire event, at any time from your dashboard.

We use trusted providers to run Seatella, who process data only on our instructions: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), and, when paid plans launch, Stripe (payments; we never store card numbers) and an email delivery provider.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

We keep your account and event data while your account is active. Deleted events and guests are removed from our active systems; backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

To close your account and delete your data, email hello@seatella.com.

You can access, correct, export or delete your personal information. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have additional rights. Email hello@seatella.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

If you are a guest and want your name removed from an event, please contact the event’s organizer, or email hello@seatella.com and we’ll help.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our database provider. Access is restricted so each organizer can only see their own events. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage strong, unique passwords.

Seatella accounts are for adults. Guest lists for celebrations such as quinceañeras may include minors’ names, added by the organizer; organizers are responsible for having permission to include them. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

We may update this policy. If changes are significant, we’ll notify organizers by email or in the dashboard. The date above shows the latest version.
